How to fix error “Showcase Data is not configured”?

This error indicates that you didn’t configure showcase properly. You probably already created the showcase, but didn’t select it for presentation in gallery. Another reason is you probably are using some SEF extension that interferes with JSN ImageShow data transfer mechanism.

I noticed the same issue, but then i noticed i had some trouble with installing the language files in the backend. Check it in com-imageshow > Configuration -> Languages.. I noticed that 1 language was missing so i did reinstall the language an voila problem solved.

Hi Japp,
Thanks for sharing your experience. One of the guaranteed way to solve the problem is upgrading the JSN ImageShow version. We continually improving the product and fixing the bugs. -

Please make sure that you use the latest version of JSN ImageShow. After that you clear cache of your web browser then re-check the result again.

We are using JSN, it works fine 95% of the time but occasionaly I get the showcase not configured error, if I refresh the page it works fine.
Can you give any pointers as it only seems to fail when I am showing a client!!
Any help appreciated.

Or, you installed an update from joomlashine and it BROKE YOUR SHOWCASE.
Second time this has happened to me. Guys, pls fix this. -

after set magic quotes off showcases did were broke, even after i made a whole new showcase. JSN does not work with mgic quotes?????????????

Please let me know which version JSN ImageShow you are using. We have just released JSN ImageShow 4.5.5. If you are using the version that is older 4.5.5, please update to the latest version and check again.

About problem with 'Unable to connect to the database:Could not an Error:xml file', it's problem with missing xml file in the package install. I think you should recheck it before install it, make sure you install right package. About 2nd problem, could you please explain more about an error message with template? Which template are you using? Also with problem with the process bar in Internet Explorer. -

I created a frontpage slide show by following the tutorial. I'm using Decore template. However, when I try to select the module's position on the front page, there isn't a place for me to put it? No matter what I select, I still get the showcase not configured error message. However, the slideshow shows up correctly in every box I select. Why isn't there a layout box on the front page for the slideshow?
