Currently, there are 2 versions of Joomla - Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.7. That confuses me: Which Joomla versions should I use to build my website?
In my opinion, you should try out Joomla 1.7 for the following reasons:

One thing that could be added to point 3 is that some of your menu's and other modules might seem to disappear when you change your template.
A lot of templates have different names for their module positions, so you should remember to change all of the affected module positions and your site will be perfect again ![]()

I am indeed a newbie with Joomla and you have collated almost all of the answers to the basic questions that I need to know before starting to design my website. I also would like to know how to insert videos to my website and also to adjoin voiceovers into those videos and get them to play on my site. Lastly, for the linking of the article to another article, can I insert a link to allow my website visitors to click on and download a file, for example an excelsheet?
