Hi everyone,

I'm just getting to know J1.5.3 and I've been reading the excellent tutorials on the site. I don't quite understand how to assign particular modules to particular templates, though - I've looked in the Joomla! forums too, but can't really find anything.

Can someone help out please and give me a nudge in the right direction?

Thanks very much,

Dave.

Hi there,
I'm having the exact same problem. I bought the template today, downloaded it, uploaded it to joomla and none of the modules seem to be there. Are you having the same issue? Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks
Si

Hi Dave,

Joomla! CMS allows you to assign individual template to menu items. You can realize it by configuration page of a template. For example, let’s assign the template ‘rhuk milkyway’. You need to select parameter ‘Menu Assignment’ -- > ‘Select from List’ and choose menu items.

Regarding to module’s assignment, you can regulate modules on which menu items they will appear by parameter ‘Menu Assignment’ in configuration page of a module. Please to take a look at screenshot.

Hi Simon Jenns,

Seem you didn’t install sample data during installation process of Joomla! CMS. Hence you don’t see any sample modules such as ‘Login form’, ‘Who’s online’, ‘Popular’ etc.

Ipage.com doesn't give you that option for Sample Data. Can you install it after with File Manager?

Yes, go click on the Template in template manager and when it opens you will see a section for sample data. Download new sample data and install right from the template.
