Depends on your need there a lot of Forum software. If you would like to use the Forum at Joomla extension we would like to recommend you to have a look at section ‘Forum’ in Joomla Extensions Directory. If you would like to use stand alone forum software you might be interested in phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com/) or SMF Forum (http://www.simplemachines.org/). Currently on www.joomlashine.com you see redesigned SMF Forum.
