I need to use a two column layout for the front page but keep the standard three column layout on the rest of the website.
It seems as though I can do this using the Menu Assignment option by deselecting the Home page for modules that appear in the left column. However, I believe that this will require changing the setting from the current setting of All pages. This will require that each time a new page is created it will be necessary to select it in the Menu Assignment option. This appears to be a limitation of Joomla instead of the template.
Is the Menu Assignment method the only way to achieve a different layout for the front page or is it possible to assign a different template just to the front page (I could not see a way to do that).
Also, how can I change the relative width of the right-column only on the front page (as I would like it to be wider on the front page than the rest of the web site).
Many thanks
Graham
