I notice that the mainpage will show 5 articles, then list "more articles" with just the titles to the articles underneath the 5 most recent articles. Where would I change the default of 5 articles on the home page to more like 10?

You can change this in Menu manager >> Home menu >> Layout Options >> # Intro Articles
