    Default Epic Template and Cookies

    Hello,

I have had an email about new laws concerning cookies on websites viewed in the EU. I have read that JoomlaShine templates need cookies to run to work properly, which I guess means my site will need to have some kind of pop up advice window, or is there any way to stop cookies and site still works??

If anyone has any advice or info I would be very interested to hear as not really sure what I need to do next to make sure the site complies.

    Thank you for helping!

    Anna

    Default Epic Template and Cookies

According to my Knowledge Cookies are a general mechanism which server side connections can use to both store and retrieve information on the client side of the connection. The addition of a simple, persistent, client-side state significantly extends the capabilities of Web-based client/server applications.

You have control over when it comes to allow cookies in Google Chrome. All cookies are allowed by default, but you can adjust this setting. If cookies are blocked or placed on the page you are viewing, an icon will appear at the end of the address bar.
What are Cookies? Cookies are files created by websites you've visited to store browsing information, such as the optional web page or your profile information. There are two types of cookies: First-party cookies are set by the site domain listed in the address bar. Third-party cookies come from other domain sources that have items, such as ads or images, embedded on the page.
