00023 Editing changes in Code View not saving.

    Hi,

I can only apologise in advance for the series of "noob" questions i'm probably going to be asking over the next few month. I'm a Joomla baby

Here's the first. I'm trying to use PowerAdmin to administer pages on the site i'm building.

The WYSIWYG view is working fine, but i'm trying to understand the boxes and so forth so i keep flipping to the code view to try to edit.

The problem i have is when i click save - the editor closes - but my changes aren't saved - they are just ignored. I'm sure i'm missing something super simple - but I can't work it out!

    Thanks.

    Dear crabsnaps

I don't understand your question, it related to Joomla CMS? not JSN PowerAdmin.
Please search on http://forum.joomla.org for similar problem.

    Hey N,

I hope you all enjoy the holiday \o/ - thanks for posting about it on Facebook or I would have been vexed that the lack of response!

    I'm sorry I wasn't clear.
I will try to explain again - this time with screenshots!!

So my understanding is that I can use PowerAdmin to edit an article.
So here I have an article:

I choose to edit it using the wysiwyg view

Save changes – and Volia – it works. \o/

Now – I want to use the same method to edit code.
Let's say just to add another line:
So we Edit and then hit the Toggle Editor button to go into the code view:

... to continue with more screenies...

    All looks good to me…
but when I hit Save – this happens:

I go back to exactly the same as I have before, and the changes are not saved.

When I do the same thing in the “Joomla Article Editor”:

It works fine, and immediately appears even within the poweradmin view:

I am completely prepared to accept I'm doing something dumb…
but at the moment I can't see it - and there is a demonstrable difference in behaviour between Poweradmin and the standard editor.

    Regards,
    Crab

    Hey there,

We are on the way to fix this issue, but anyone who met this can do this under manipulation to keep the change when not using editor:

    - Click on Toggle editor button, modify your content, then click Toggle editor button again before Saving, your modification will be saved normally

    Thanks,
