Lately, I've done some research on Joomla Service Providers by Google based on these criteria:

  • They have a clear company address, which means they are real individuals working in official cooperation.
  • They include a portfolio on their website; and I am sure that their projects look good.

Afterwards, I got them to quote - converting a raw design PSD file into a Joomla template. The cost includes template conversion only, not with the template PSD file. Together with it were some inquiries concerning cost, deadline, support and other matters related to the project. And waited for their reply.

To my surprise, there were companies getting back to me so quickly, just around one or two hours. Howevere, some did not reply at all.

In this post, I will share this experience "bugging" Joomla Service Providers with you so that you can have an overall view about them [Sorry for saying that but I did "bug" these people during my research].

In addition, please note that I am not advertising for any company or knocking anyone down. I myself did not dig deep into the project but stopped at getting quotes and having some inquiries answered. This blog post is solely for reference, the price might be changed for a while.

Here go the results.

QubeSys Technologies

This is the first company that responded to my inquiry for a quote. They impressed me with professional style on replying to my inquiries promptly and concisely. Following is information related to my requested project:

Price: $450 (to convert a design from PSD file into Joomla template. The price applies for a fully layered PSD file)

Timing: Two days

Free support after the project: Offer free support for five days

Pay beforehand: 50% upfront

Payment methods: PayPal/ Wire Transfer/ Western Union/ Xoom

I think the price is acceptable for their quality. You should take a look on their portfolio, specifically Joomla projects. If you love them, take a closer look at their company information and get a quote.

Adodis Technologies

This service is a part of Adodis Technologies, a company based in Bangalore, India. Though I haven't had a chance to work directly with them on the project, they made a good impression with me thanks to their good manner and enthusiasm. Let's take a quick look at the information below.

Price: $160 (to convert a design from PSD file into Joomla template)

Timing: Two days

Free support after the project: Offer free support for the next sixs months

Pay beforehand: 50% upfront

Payment methods: PayPal/ Wire Transfer/ Credit Card

The price is cheaper than that of Joomla Hacker; also the after-project support time is much longer. It probably depends on the company scale and further policies. You should head for their website and portfolio to see if they are qualified enough for you.

WebKul

WebKul responded my request in a few hours with detailed information that I needed. Let's take a look at their answers related to the project below.

Price: $350 (to convert a design from PSD file into Joomla template)

Timing: Four days

Free support after the project: Offer free support for one month

Pay beforehand: 30% upfront

Payment methods: PayPal/ Wire Transfer/ Xoom/ Credit Card

Although it takes them four days to finish the work, the time can be pushed faster depending on your need. The thing I like best about this provider is that they accept all payment methods. This is flexible for everyone living in some countries that limit the money international monetary transactions.

Rightway Solutions

Rightway Solutions is another outsourcing company based in India, which promises a great pool of Joomla developers. But first of all, I was pleased with their professional customer service since they sent me a detailed proposal regarding my inquiries. Meaning when they formalize things, they put more attention and take responsibility for it. Accordingly, you can put trust in this company. Following is some information regarding my project:

Price: 600USD (to convert a design from PSD file into Joomla template)

Timing: Two days (40 working hours)

Free support after the project: Offer free support for seven days

Pay beforehand: 50% upfront

Payment methods: Wire Transfer/ Credit Card

You might not be convinced due to the higher price or shorter period of free support, but the matter of quality is more important. You should investigate this company further if you put quality at the top of your priority.

iFuturz

iFuturz

Although iFuturz offers many services and Joomla service is just a part of it, they gave a lot of attention to my small project. This means you can be assured of getting the best support when working with iFuturz. However, the price they estimate is much higher; and also the time taken is longer than other competitors.

Price: $1345 (to convert a design from PSD file into Joomla template)

Timing: Three weeks

Free support after the project: Offer free support for one month

Pay beforehand: 50% upfront

Payment methods: PayPal

Further terms and conditions:

  • The logo, graphics and content will be provided by the client
  • If any designing changes are given, they will be charged at $12 per hour

iFuture is based in the US, which could be one reason why they offer higher price than companies in third countries like India. We cannot deny the fact that they demand a qualified workers though.

Mostly Joomla service providers use Paypal and credit card as the main payment method. The working time is normally two days for Joomla template conversion. For some companies, the time may be longer depending on their scale or other factors. Whenever you look for a Joomla provider, find about their company location and get a detailed quotes. Don't hesitate to "bug" them if you have something unclear related to the project. And you have the right to negotiate about price as well as other matters. Be pro-active!

Tell me what you think about these service providers. If you have any suggestion about any other providers, share with us
