How to install Sample Data with supported third-party extensions for JSN Templates

All Joomla templates at JoomlaShine have the unique feature of installing sample data which makes your testing website look the same as the one on demo. In all templates, we provide two methods for you to choose from: Sample data & QuickStart package.

All Joomla templates at JoomlaShine have the unique feature of installing sample data which makes your testing website look the same as the one on demo. In all templates, we provide two methods for you to choose from:

• Sample Data – A light package with JSN template data. You can install it on your available Joomla website.

  Sample data will be installed for common Joomla components and for supported third-party extensions (K2, Kunena, VirtueMart, OS Property...) which are already available on your website.

  If you have installed the third-party extensions after installing Sample Data, you must reinstall the Sample Data to have the content for those extensions.

  Please be aware that by installing Sample Data, you must accept to replace the current data on your website with the new data from JoomlaShine templates.

• QuickStart package – It contains both the latest Joomla installation file and your purchased JSN template.

  You install this package normally as the flow to install a new Joomla website. After that, you will get a totally new Joomla website with JSN template and its sample data.

  By default, free extensions like K2 and Kunena are already included in the package with their sample data. The QuickStart packages do not contain commercial third-party extensions, you need to install these extensions separately.

Please note that before the sample data is installed, all original data of your website is automatically backed up into the Joomla folder. And with this mechanism, it becomes easy for you to restore the original data on your Joomla website whenever you want.

Now, if you want to replicate the demo content (with all supported third-party extensions) of a specific JSN template, please follow these following steps:

Step 1. Prepare a complete Joomla installation in your Web root

If you do not have a Joomla site, please download an installation package at joomla.org or get a JSN template QuickStart package at Customer Area.

Otherwise, if your Joomla site is ready, access our template library and install it on your sites just in a minute.

Step 2. Install third-party extensions

Download and install the latest version of all third-party extensions which are supported by the JSN template you have. For example with JSN Reta, you can install K2, Kunena and OS Property extensions via Extension Manager in Joomla backend.

Step 3. Begin installing Sample Data

Go to JSN template setting page and open the tab Get Started. 

then click Install sample data button.

On page Sample Data Installation, follow the on-screen instruction to start the process

• Download sample data package of the demo website data such as demo articles, demo menus, demo template settings, etc.
• Install free extensions: JSN ImageShow, JSN PowerAdmin, JSN PageBuilder, JSN Mobilize, JSN EasySlider and JSN Uniform. You can choose whether to install them or not.
• Install sample data: this step will check the template version before installing the sample data

Click the Finish button to Return to template setting page for further configuration

Attention! If template detects any supported third-party extensions which are not available in your Joomla site, their sample data will not be installed:
