Premium stock photo sites in details

ShutterStock – Bundle of high-res stock photos

Shutterstock is considered the largest photo agency in the world with over 15 million royalty-free stock photos and this impressive number is increasing everyday. Shuttershock just offers subscriptions only, not single purchases. However, the plans are varied, from 2 to 9125 downloads so you can easily opt for a suitable plan based on your needs. Photos at Shutterstock are high quality and it doesn’t take long to find great photos. It seems that Shutterstock can read my mind as the images I need are always on the first pages of my search. Personally, I like images here the best.

iStockPhoto – Photos at reasonable pricing

If you need images at a reasonable price, iStockphoto is the right place for you: You can start with one credit each image at X-Small size (from $0.24 per credit). Downloads are also published so you can check the popularity of photos easily.

Searching for good photos at iStockphoto requires patience. Some topics have millions of images so you may quit in the middle of the searching process. But if you’re patient, you will get a worthwhile result. Many nice and affordable photos are available there!

DreamsTime – One image at different pricings

The unique thing of this More-than-11,000,000-images stock is: Image pricing is affected by "Pricing level" which reflects how popular an image is. It is measured by the number of downloads. The more people download an image, the higher the image level and its pricing increases as well. You can also search images by pricing level.

One more thing I like about DreamsTime are the flexible payment plans: You can choose Credit packages, Custom Credits or Subscriptions.

DreamsTime is one of the first recourses you should visit, to try your luck to purchase high-quality images at an amazingly cheap price.

GettyImages – A large photo agency

GettyImages is well known for its localization – You are free to search photos in nearly 30 languages s instead of more or less 10 popular languages as other premium stock photos.

GettyImages is the photo agency for everyone, so images are on wide range of topics.

I’m not impressed by the quality of photos here, not many outstanding photos. However, I’m impressed by its pricing. So expensive!

Corbis Images – Professional images

If you haven’t heard about Corbis Images, you are definitely missing out. This agency provides you with some of the most professional photos on various topics. The price is quite high but they are worth it since the photos are of high quality.

Corbis Images make the searching process amazing with a cool searching function. You can search by date photographed, location or even the number of people, point of view, etc. Just give it a try and you may be surprised by what it brings to you.

Something a little bit different from other stock photos agencies is that, to buy images, your image order will be sent to the representative in your country. This person will contact to you to confirm about purchasing and payment. After that, you can buy images. You don’t need to worry about getting images because they work very fast and dedicated.

I hope that you’ve bookmarked all top five premium stock photo agencies above. And please don’t miss the part 2 – I will share my personal experience on purchasing photos.
